A Moon Oracle Card for February

Last week I wrote about moonology and so it seems fitting to draw a card from the Moonology Oracle Deck by Yasmin Boland , artwork by Nyx Rowan. The card for our consideration and contemplation this month is The Full Moon – Surrender to the Divine.

There are three key concepts here:

The power of the Divine Feminine,

the importance of surrendering to a force greater than ourselves, and

the belief that release of emotional and energetic issues come more easily on the full moon.

Note that this may be understood through different lens and spoken of through many names.

The Moonology Guidebook goes on to suggest there is  ripeness to our situation and time is right to start a new project, create new health habits and to review plans for the future. That review needs to include releasing blocks and resistance and then preparing to set an intent. As wisdom tradition reminds us, once we have set intent, we then need to let go and leave the manifestation of that intent to Universal Forces. What more powerful, loving and enlightening force than the Divine Feminine of the Moon.

The next full moon is coming soon: January 28—in Leo (called the Ice Moon or the Wolf Moon).

 It will be followed by the February 27 full moon in Virgo (called the Snow Moon).

This offers you a great opportunity to follow a complete lunar cycle.

Open your intuitive senses and ask that they be amplified by the power of the moon.

Take a few minutes each night to look up at the moon and take in her changing energies

Be mindful of the moods and messages you receive as you

Over the course of the month, incorporate this awareness into your daily practice.
