Tarot card for April
Aquamarine, this month's card is drawn from the Tarot of Gemstones and Crystals by Helmet G Hoffman. I am writing this at the spring equinox with a new moon that predicts excellent promise for positive change in our future. The card spoke to me, and I hope you will find it equally insightful.
This is the first time I've used this deck in relation to Celtic tradition. But every year I take it to Sedona and do a ritual with the cards I have drawn matched with small gemstones I purchase at Crystal Magic, the first and one of the best crystal stores I have ever experienced.
In a traditional tarot deck, the Hanged Man is part of the major Arcana and suggests a period of suspension, perhaps sacrificial. Or for many of us already on a spiritual path it suggests a break: a time to allow the energies of the world tree from which he hangs to enter and a time to see the world from a new perspective.
Aquamarine, the crystal assigned to the Hanged Man position in this deck, symbolizes gentle reception, peace, and tranquility. A period of quiet and "allowing" that offers new strengths and insights.
Aquamarine is my birthstone, and I often wear a crystal pendant (that I also use as a pendulum). I feel it brings the light and love of earth energies to me.
