I chose Jane Burn’s sweet little Celtic Oracle Portal to the Sacred Trees for this month’s bonus card. This is not a traditional tarot. It consists of a carefully selected and beautifully described set of trees which were sacred to the Celts. Each tree held and still holds special meaning and significance. Jane offers a healing ritual and a meditation after each tree’s place in Celtic lore is described.

Read MoreI was thinking about the upcoming July 4 holiday here in the US, when I pulled this card. Once, again, a serendipity comes through in the cards. The EAGLE is our oracle card for July. It is the national symbol for the USA, and holds a significant place in the cultures of many other nations.
Read MoreOnce again, there is serendipity in our monthly tarot card draw. The message to Get Unstuck serves us well as we emerge from the cocoon of Covid. What better challenge than to get unstuck from our holding pattern, unstuck from our old ways and unstuck from what blocks us from embracing the change we promised ourselves we would make if we survived all the craziness and fear of 2020.
Read MoreI love the calming stare of a cow chewing its cud quietly and steadily. I know how central the cow is to daily life. The quiet, constancy of this animal as it provides us with daily milk, butter and cream is rather astonishing when you think about it.
Read MoreOur card for the month of April is The Well of Segais from The Celtic Oracle Deck by John Matthews. It represents the element of water and reminds us of the power and critical importance of water. As April showers prevail this month and will grow May flowers, perhaps the card is asking us to take time to be grateful for water, to find ways to protect its purity and stop its waste. There are a number of Irish legends about the Well of Segais. All are meant to remind us that wisdom comes from understanding the interconnectedness of life and honoring the nurturing elements Nature has given us.
Read MoreAt the beginning of each month, I draw and comment upon a tarot card or an oracle card, suggesting we all think about its message throughout the month. I looked for a good leprechaun deck for us to use in March. I found none, so chose The Heart Of Faery Oracle Card Deck, by Brian and Wendy Froud, after all leprechauns are cousins of the fairies. As I prepared to pull a random card, this one caught my eye and I couldn’t bring myself to choose another. So,after months of following serendipity, I have actually selected this card willfully. I trust you will understand why I was drawn to it.

Read MoreI chose Denise Linn’s Sacred Traveler Oracle Cards for December’s card draw because I assume many of you, like myself, are itchy to travel again. Of course, it is 2020. The Universe did not give me the kind of message I expected. Instead, we were given a challenge: Answering the Call.
Read MoreMagic, mystery and mysticism are associated with Merlin. Legends of his shapeshifting, his long-life and many feats abound. Yet, he is best known as the mentor to King Arthur. In this deck, the card represents guidance, introspection and solitude. All great prophets are said to have spent time alone in the wilderness as a means of gathering strength and wisdom for the path ahead of them.
Read MoreThe Queen of Cauldrons “represents the undifferentiated consciousness of the ocean and the human expression of feelings and emotions”. A steady stream or water has great strength over time, a raging sea becomes calm again, and the well-spring of life nourishes us. Being in the present, being current and going with the flow of Life with Love is what we all need to survive and thrive.
